What to Expect From Your First Visit
When you arrive at Be Well Massage, our receptionist will greet you and ask you to fill out a quick confidential health intake form. It is helpful to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow yourself enough time to complete the paperwork and take a few minutes to relax before your massage. You may also download the forms on our website prior to your visit and bring them in with you.
When your therapist take you back to the treatment room, together you will come up with a customized massage plan based on your individual needs. Your therapist will leave the room and wait outside while you disrobe to your comfort level. For a full massage, we recommend you disrobe fully; however, you may choose to wear any articles of clothing for your own comfort and privacy. On the massage table, you will be kept warm and covered at all times with top sheet and blanket. Only the area of your body being worked on will be uncovered and will be covered again when finished.
Some people like to talk during a massage while others prefer to relax without conversation. Please feel free to do what feels best. We’ll follow your lead. We do ask that you alert us if at any time during your session a technique, stroke, or pressure used is uncomfortable. This is your massage and we want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and leave feeling rejuvenated. As always, your feedback is welcomed and appreciated!
Once your session is complete, your therapist will leave the room so that you may re-dress. Next, your therapist will speak with you about any observations, questions, or concerns either of you had regarding your session. Be sure to rehydrate your muscles by drinking ample amounts of water. Water flushes out toxins released during your massage and reduces potential soreness.
